Our workshop is a new community workshop on the Old Kent Road. Holding free educational programmes to empower people through making.

Based at The Livesey Exchange in Peckham, a vocational arts space for training, making and cultural programmes.

Residing within former vacant garages, The Livesey Exchange will transform a once disused urban space underneath The Ledbury Estate to provide opportunity and new skills to the area.

The Workshop is an applied practice where outcomes of the free events come in the form of products which raise the revenue to sustain future programmes of community workshops.

The Workshop consists of a collective of design professionals, teachers and makers who hold regular free events to encourage and train the local community in fundamental workshop and design skills. 

Power Project is a free programme of workshops for women in DIY & making, based at the Livesey Workshop. It aims to strengthen gender equality in industry through skills, employment and discussion working towards a 50:50 workforce. 

The project aims to provide women with the skills to become the missing 50% of the workforce in a welcoming and open environment. Each activity is tailored for women to harness a new skill, develop a portfolio of making experience and build in confidence.
