I just submitted version 3 of Teach Me Time to the AppStore. Now even better than ever!
New in This Version
Testing for 24 hour time (Military Time)
Added scoring to keep track of your progress
Added the ability to try the question again when it was incorrect.
Changed "Difficulty" slider to "Units to Test" and reversed the order to make more sense.
As fluency progresses, users have the ability to turn off the numbers on the hands- just like taking the training wheels off!
Description
Have you struggled with teaching your special-needs child how to tell time? As a parent of an autistic daughter, I understand the challenges we go through to find alternate ways to teach and connect with our kids. I designed this app with the special-needs community in mind.
Teach Me Time is a visually-interactive way to teach individuals how to read and tell time on an analog clock. Users are greeted with a simple, distraction-free interface. The numbers are displayed on the hands, instead of the face of the clock. As the user rotates the hands around the face of the clock, the numbers update the time relative to the position of the hands. In doing so, the user gains knowledge of the visual spacial relationship of the the hands without an over-stimulating and distracting interface.
I am proud to say that Teach Me Time contains no ads, no social media links, and does not ask for any user data.
Teach Me Time requires iOS 8.0 and is a universal app compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.
Features
+ Test in increments of only 1 hour, 30 minutes, 15 minutes, 10 minutes, 5 minutes and 1 minute
+ Test only Minutes, Only Hours or both!
+ Testing for Elapsed Time (Time Before and Time After)
+ Testing for 24 hour time (Military time)
+ As fluency progresses, user have the ability to turn off the numbers on the hands- just like taking the training wheels off!
+ Scoring to keep track of your progress
+ Randomized questions ensures users won’t get the same questions
+ Patent-pending, minimal, distraction-free interface
