Manufactured in the finest high quality calf leather produced in our own tannery, James Senior dance shoes are world leaders in both Scottish Country and Highland Dance shoes with the shoes feeling like a second skin around your feet. St Andrews Shoemakers Ltd was the first manufacturer to develop the concept of an in-built Shock Absorber in a dance shoe back in 2003. Having trialled a range of products over the years, and with its proven track record of benefits, Poron is the Shock Absorber of choice and is now standard in all of our styles today.
St Andrews Shoemakers Ltd enjoys a long-standing affiliation with the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (RSCDS). For more than 20 years the company has provided a comprehensive service to the annual Summer School in St Andrews & Winter School in Pitlochry, attended by Scottish Country dancers world-wide, where the company benefits from feedback from dancers who after-all are the true experts in a good-fitting shoe.
