Our Story

A bed is not a new invention, but they are made in numerous ways. Choosing a bed that is customised to your exact needs, made to order and lasts a lifetime is a new concept and one that is unique to Get Laid Beds - the leading specialist in handmade bed manufacturing made from 100% solid wood.

With us, you will find exceptionally well-made, handmade beds, using traditional carpentry techniques, and only ever using 100% solid woods. Our solid pine slats are twice as thick as most beds, and we’re so confident in our build quality that we offer an industry-leading 11-year guarantee.

How do we do this?

Well, it’s because you are buying directly from the makers. That means no high street markups, wholesaler margins and expensive showrooms. Our beds are only available directly from us, British made, with everything handcrafted here in Leicester, UK. Amongst many things, our factory is super streamlined, and we flat-pack all our handmade beds to harness delivery efficiencies. We even offer assembly on delivery with all bed frames.

In parallel, our prices are kept affordable because of our humble beginnings. Our journey started when the two founders, Jonny & Jean, were students studying together. Their struggle to find a new bed that was built to last and at a fair price was impossible.
