We are launching the Crooklyn Clan Vault V.4 very soon and we are cleaning up the client-base, so existing members of ccv2 and ccv3 will need to sign-up to be a member of ccv4. Signup is free and required to access the application.
The Crooklyn Clan Vault v.2 and v.3 have reached end-of-life. With times and technology changing so rapidly these versions of the Crooklyn Clan Vault have technology baked into them that is now considered antiquated. The process of end-of-life will mean a few things for current clients and subscribers.
Current monthly-recurring subscriptions - If you are currently a monthly-recurring subscriber to the Crooklyn Clan Vault v.2 & v.3 your subscription will not work for the new application. Your subscription will remain in tact on v.2 and v.3 until we shut the server down completely and pull those versions from production.
Client Library - We've made it clear over the years that it's super important for clients to back up your digital files securely as we do not offer any guarantees that your files will be available for re-download. All purchases made within the Crooklyn Clan Vault are, and have always been on an as-is basis. Your previous downloads will no longer be accessible in ccv4. Your "Library" is a feature we created as a courtesy to you so that you may keep track of previous purchases, and while your library is active, re-download them. Please take the time to download from your library while ccv2 and ccv3 are still active. In some cases your library may not be available to you depending on whether or not you have an active recurring membership, or credits in your account. This will remain the case until the very end of v.2 and v.3.
The Crooklyn Clan Vault v.4 is a feature-packed web & mobile application with a super-clean interface boasting a very simple approach to our services.
One Currency - No more separate tokens for each section of the Crooklyn Clan Vault. A single currency is used to purchase everything. The currency system is simple now, each "Token" = $0.01 cent. (Kinda like Twitch, but we pay our contributors better :))
Stars - Since every token is worth just a single penny, we needed a way to reward clients for bigger purchases without adjusting the value of a token, so we invented stars. Stars will be issued to clients in certain packages and allow the download of a single track anywhere site-wide for a single star, completely disregarding the token price of the track. The only catch with stars is that when you have a star balance on your account they will be used to make purchases FIRST, then your tokens will be used. So in other words, while you have an active star balance you won't see a token cost on tracks, but instead just a star in its place letting you know that your track purchase will be made using your star balance. When your stars have depleted your tokens will be used and token prices will show on tracks.
No Expiration Dates - Tokens will never expire, neither will stars. Both will however max out, so if you are on a monthly-recurring token plan and you are not using your tokens they will max out at 15k ($150.00) and your stars will max out at 100.
Labels - Labels are "sections" like they were in previous versions of the Crooklyn Clan Vault. Audio Vault, Video Vault, i12inch Digital Pool are examples of sections from previous versions of the Vault. They still exist, but now they are called "Labels". All labels will be included in searches from the "Tracks" and "Releases" sections of the Vault, so you will no longer have to search in each label for what you are looking for, it all happens in one place, video, audio, edits, dj mixes, tools, everything - one search with a robust set of filters to narrow down your search to exactly what you need.
Crates - They have always been there, but we made the process of using them significantly easier. Crates will store common queries for fast, easy recall. For example, you use the Vault for Quick Hits by Starjack, Goodfellas, and Collini. You adjust the filters to bring up tracks and releases that match this query. You save the query as a crate to one-click the filter settings back onto the results table. Voila!
Releases - Releases are "bundles" that offer discount percentages for the tracks contained within the release. If you purchase a release with 5 tracks that each have a token cost of 200, and the release offers a 50% discount on purchase, you will pay 500 tokens for the 5 tracks inside instead of paying 200 per track if you purchase the entire release. Releases will be created strategically, offering sets of tracks that commonly work together or are themed similarly.
Playlists - Our playlists are different. They are curated DJ sets by our team ranging from simple to very specific use cases. The tracks in a playlist can be sorted by "Original Order" which is the order our creative team thinks you should play them in. Playlists are not Releases and do not offer a discount if you purchase the entire playlist, however purchasing a playlist in its entirety can be done with the click of a button. UX/UI - Using the Crooklyn Clan Vault has changed drastically with an aesthetically pleasing, simplified user interface.
Dropbox Support - Dropbox is a fixture-cloud service that is now supported by Pioneer DJ right inside the CDJ-3000 among many other DJ Controllers from various brandnames.. CCV4 gives you the ability to link your Dropbox account to our application and download your tracks right to your Dropbox.
